Who can see your projects
Your projects are private to your account. Other DeepMarking users cannot see them, and there is no way to share a project inside DeepMarking.
Who has access
- You. Every project, submission and mark belongs to your account.
- DeepMarking administrators. Our Privacy Policy describes access controls and role-based admin tools. Authorised administrators can access projects through those tools to operate the service.
- Our processors. Providers such as Supabase (database and storage) and Google (Gemini marking) process data on our instructions. See What data DeepMarking stores.
What other lecturers cannot see
- Your projects, files, marks or comments.
- Your edits and quality ratings. These guide future marking of the same assessment in your account only.
Sharing results with colleagues
To share marks with a co-marker or moderator, export them and share the files through your institution's usual channels. See Export to Excel and PDF. Once downloaded, those files are yours to look after.
Product analytics
Analytics events carry identifiers and counts, not student work. Student names and submission text are never sent. You can turn analytics off under Privacy in your account settings.
On a shared computer
Choose Log out from the account menu when you finish. Anyone using your signed-in browser can see your projects.
Remember recent markings keeps a short list of recent projects in the browser for the sidebar. On a shared or lab computer, switch it off under Privacy so that list is not stored on the machine.
