Supported devices
DeepMarking runs on desktop computers, laptops and tablets. Phones are not supported for signing in or marking.
What works where

A narrow browser window on a computer, or a tablet held in portrait, still gets the full app. The layout adjusts to fit.
On a phone
Opening the app, the sign-in pages or onboarding on a phone shows this notice instead:
This also applies if you use your phone browser's "Request desktop site" option. The home page still opens on a phone, but without the upload panel.
Why phones are blocked
Marking involves reading a whole class of submissions, a rubric and a spec side by side, and your files are read on your own device before anything is sent. A phone screen is too small to review marks properly, and a large ZIP can exceed what a phone browser can hold in memory.
Touchscreen laptops
Touchscreen Windows laptops and tablets with a keyboard are treated as computers and get the full app.
Common questions
- Can I check marks on my phone after marking on my laptop?
- No. Every signed-in page, including results, is blocked on phones. Use a tablet or computer to review marks.
